Affiliate earnings

April 30th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in FreddyWare Matters

Proof that it’s possible to earn a good sum of money from affiliate marketing, or, in this case, by promoting a great product. (Sorry, some information had to be removed to protect myself.)

CJ sale

In this particular case, the “great product” was WebEx PCNow, for which I wrote an article on my Geekie.org blog. Apparently, someone had clicked through to WebEx after reading my article, left the site to do more research elsewhere, and then went back to WebEx and signed up. Even though the sale didn’t happen directly after reading my article, thanks to cookies, this person has now generated about $35 of revenue.

If you’re wondering how you can get in on the action, just join a program like AdSense which has referral ads, other networks like LinkShare.com or Commission Junction.

FreddyWare registered

A few moments ago, we (I’m not saying who) went through a long process on the Government of Ontario’s web site to register a business under the name “FreddyWare”.

Within 2 days, we should be receiving a confirmation along with the Master Business Licence. That means that “FreddyWare” will be a legally-valid and government-recognized company. Additionally, it legitimizes my use and intellectual property rights to anything with the term “FreddyWare” in it. It also means that FreddyWare Web Services will need to charge PST.
